Keep in mind we are repeating all of the many teadious steps outlined at the beginning of this thread for the 10" passenger side model, but we are working on 3 molds now (1 for each of the remaining models) and still having to fulfill orders on the 10" passenger side to keep the business running in the process. This is a long process just for one mold, let alone 3 and the move we had in the middle of summer that put everything on hold. We knew it would take at least a couple months for these models since one model can easily take 200 hours from prototype to mold to production but we really didn't intend for it to stretch on this long. Even with our unexpected move aside, it is apparent that next time we will have to do only one model release at a time no matter how even the demand is. Sorry to keep everyone waiting, the final product will be worth the wait, I promise.
Once you get the mold built you are mass producing these? How long does it take to make one after the mold is done? I'm interested. Its either wait for this or build my own... and I don't have time to build my own. Great job on the product, it looks really good btw.

I was just about to ask for an update as well, so thank you. My subwoofers are getting lonely lol. I'm hoping both the boxes I'm getting are going to look pretty sick with the Hot Lava color.

Subwoofer question

Morning,
I placed an order for both 10" enclosures passenger/driver side but still have no Subwoofer for them . Any suggestion will be very much appreciated.

With these types of enclosures I feel you can put a more interesting sub in. That shallow Pioneer might not sound as good in that box because of all the space. Personally, these three subs come to mind for this 10" enclosure:

1. 10" JL W6
2. 10" JL W3
3. 10" Alpine Type R

I am using two 10" Alpine Type R's (previous model than the current) and they sound great for what I want to use them for.

type r's are pretty power hungry and bass heavy-- good for rap and blowing up the neighbors windows 3 blocks away, not so much for more musical audio files..

So you're saying Alpine is not good for all types of audio files? Would this one work?

There's nothing wrong with Alpine stuff.

Also - Dan, updates on my 8" enclosure I preordered ages ago!!!!

Good choice, I was going to say the shallow mounts were a bad idea. Regardless of what sub you pick, the type r's or jl's, a sealed enclosure for an 8 inch or 10 inch will not be extremely loud and window shattering as another user stated... You'll need a much larger box and some ports to achieve that.

Depends, I looked around and found some older type R's that aren't the current generation since the current ones are more for SPL vs SQ. Some of the previous Type R's have awesome SQ for rock, which is what I listen to.

This week, as stated in my last update, I am back in the shop and working on the molds adding the last few layers of roving and adding the external bracing. The molds will rest in a warm place next week for post mold curing, and then we will pull them apart, wet sand, polish, and wax the molds the following week in preparation for pulling the first pre order production parts!

I would suggest a better fixing of the volume in addition to the fixing point on the top

See, the three holes near the wheel housing?

I put a metal bar behind it

So I can put a screw from the inside of the woofer volume to fix it

finished

Will work on both sides

Your method requires tools and time to remove the box, as you have to remove the woofer itself. Some of us value the ability to remove the box easily, it is a daily driver for me and I regularly stuff the trunk.

Sure, it is not quick removable, but you will never have any noise because of rumbling woofer volumes.

It is a nice piece of work.
