I enjoyed the unichip...the only downside was the wires under the hood.

Has anyone had the unichip and switched to OFT?

Thanks guys
Haha was wondering if you were going to switch with me. Haven't gotten it yet but I'll let you know.

It should be considerably better than your previous tune. Because it does more than just alter fuel and timing (like the unichip). The OFT, like other flash solutions, also adjusts VVT, fuel enrichments, learning ranges, individual cylinder corrections, closed/open loop transitions, etc. All of which improve performance and drivability.

How far out is data logging? And can I purchase the 8month remote tune package after I buy the tablet. Meaning it might be more than 8 months before I get my header and I won't need revisions (as bad) with a stock car.

Thanks.

Datalogging isn't too far out. Working on it now. It will save to .csv just like the BMW OFT. As well as offer realtime on-screen data graphic.

Datalogging, as will all future OFT updates, is free . The OFT itself is still $495.

BTW shiv Im going to speak for Sciofrsfan and myself and say the main reason we gave up the unichip was because there was no support for e85 (well there's support coming.... eventually). Im going on a limb here and trusting you will be knocking that out. I look forward to messing with around with OFT when I get it soon.

it's open, you can use any fuel you want.

reminds me of the classic answer given to junior software engineers who ask 'where is the library for that?'. the answer: 'it's between your ears'.

Yea I understand that but I think I rather trust the tuner with years of experience then the library between my ears.
