Has 11-99 foundation membership saved anyone on here?

I am just wondering if anyone has actually managed to get out of a citation situation with a CHP officer simply because you are a member of the 11-99 foundation.
http://www.chp11-99.org/

I see the plate frames around all the time, I know the purpose is to help out California highway patrolmen and women, but lets get real we only really help out others if it helps ourselves right? I think I am going to donate anyway just to put some good kharma out there at the very least. So I'm just wondering if this has actually saved anyone, or is it more like it can't hurt to be a part of it?

My union is 1199 but I'm in NY. I have been let go for 2 incidents, 1 of which would have probably been a suspended license. But I don't have any special indications on my vehicle like a license plate frame.

Too many people with fake plates, supposedly. Then it became a scandal. Don't bother.

Idk what dod stickers are. Department of defense? If that's what it means are you still getting paid with this government shutdown business? Anyhow I guess I have to pass on membership lol cost more than my car haha. Thanks for the feedback all.

Yes and yes. Luckily the military dodged that bullet at the last second. I was real worried for about two weeks though.

But yeah, as soon as most cops see you're in the military, or at least are driving the car of someone who is, their attitude typically improves ten fold. Even if you're a civilian who works on a military base that requires a sticker on your car to get onto base, then you look like you're in the military. Unless you're a big fat hippie.
