How Many Times has your FRS/BRZ/GT86/Toyota 86 saved your life?

+1 for me

Driving home from a nice Christmas day cruising on the 5 north minding my own business until this silver kia or something decided to hop in my lane at the last minute to get into the carpool lane. Possible he didn't see me behind the cars behind him (yet that's why there are side view mirrors and LOOKING over helps). My reaction time afforded me enough to literally do a movie swerve left then right. Luckily no car was in the carpool lane next to me. Had I been driving my SUV i had before, the degree of swerving i did would have flipped an SUV easy. The swerving didn't my faze my frs though and maintained control until i was safely in a straight line again. It really shook me up because I felt I was gonna hit the center divider but i didn't. If you've ever seen that video in here comparing the frs with some other cars on handling tests, this car is no joke. that aint no BS. alas im alive to breathe another day thanks to my car.

cheers! have a Merry Christmas!

Drove my Camry into a ditch going 80 MPH because dumb lady was merging into my lane and there was a suv behind me and I was approaching a post with a reflector thingy on the shouldwr.. Horns are so useless some times. But my Camry made it just fine. Surprising how fast you can stop a car if you don't want to hit those guard rail posts

I was once bitten by a venomous snake in the desert and my 86 went to the top of hill and signaled a passing plane for help. When they failed to see, it did power slides in the sand in the shape of S.O.S. When the people in the plane didn't see that, my 86 loaded me into the back seat and drove 300km on 10l of petrol and no coolant until reaching a hospital, then died on the doorstep. I lived to tell the tale but it still brings tear to my eye.

Saves my bacon everytime i drive it. Seems crazy drivers flock around me everytime i drive it. Today had a lady nearly force me off the road even though she had 5 lanes open.

It was like final destination. But no death no time to down shift. Its amazing hos people can be so distracted/dumb on the road.

Everytime I drive it people seem to forget that they are driving, there were 3 instgance where I had to use the horn and turn because drivers were inching towards me when I am steadily driving past them. I didnt think the car would be that small for people to not see it in their blindview mirror. Or maybe they just want to cause an accident so they can look at it longer, who knows. Just stay away from blindspots from now on and go fast if you have to pass

On the other hand, never had the brz saving my life and don't ever wish or plan for it to happen. Because it is me who should be saving us.

+1 to that, this car does not bite back hard.. just today i made a turn a bit too fast and almost hit the little curb divider... luckly i can say i made it with out a scratch!
None the less i was an idiot, just sometimes i over estimate the things i can do with this car just because its an FR-S haha i gotta get that habit out of me.

Anyways congrats on your save!

I drive this car kinda like I did my motorcycle...paranoid that everyone on the road is deliberately trying to kill me. Blind spots are a no no, I never drive alongside someone, I pass or lag behind depending on the situation. I also expect people to merge into my lane without warning so i am in constant alert to blast a horn or emergency brake. Guess 12 years of riding a sportbike in SoCal will do that to you.

Not sure about you, but my FR-S has almost gotten me killed a few times

All kidding aside, this car is so low, SUV/truck drivers can have a hard time picking it up in their side mirrors. I've had trucks/SUVs swerve into my lane a couple of times.

I'm using this as an excuse to get a loud exhaust

i like that! that will justify me getting a loud ass exhaust and intake to boot. although, how has it almost gotten you killed?

but as some of you say and even one of my coworkers has noticed that people i guess don't seem to notice the car in their blind spots. In addition I think I'll add some yellow DRLs and bright ass HIDS with additional fog lights when those come out. or ill hawk one from one of the aussies in here. any one?

I have never been in a crash with it,so I cannot say that it has saved my life.

But I can say I have saved my cars life numerous times.I might have been the one to put it in harms way,not deliberately of course, but I have managed to seize it from deaths grip every time.
