I have yet to purchase it (waiting for RHD support). So are the stock and tuned throttle mapping different?

You don't have to purchase it to look at the maps. Just go to their site and download the maps and the TunerPro software and you can open and do a stare and compare. Did a quick compare of my stock and Stg 1.1 map. I'm still new to all this, but if the throttle map is the Accel Pedal - Torque Request table, then yes, there are differences. It starts at 3600 rpm and goes to redline. No changes under 3600 rpm. Using the compare tool to determine all differences between the 2 maps shows multiple differences to a bunch of maps so the tune is not just a modified throttle input map. Thanks. One more question: My ROM's version is 00. Should I go to the dealership to ask for an update to 01, or does it not matter?

It won't hurt to ask for the newest software since it incorporates the DI seal fix. But all our tuned ROMs already have this fix to it really makes no difference.
