Same here! For me it's too light and bleh. I normally like silver cars but definately want something darker than this silver. I normally own white cars but think SWP is probably the ugliest white ever made. So it'll either be blue or dark gray for me.

If they're white is good I'll be all over it, though I'll probabyl go scion.

dark grey is my first choice though, but I love a good white.

Best 2 whites:
MB Arctic White
s2k Grand Prix White

Honorable mention for Championship white, but it has a little bit too much yellow compared to the other 2. A White with some blueish pearl is fun too though

I like armrests more for the concealed storage than the armrest functionality itself. In the S2000 I used the armest but you could still have both hands on the wheel using that one. In my other cars I usually have my ipod hardwired into the armrest, and in the ITR it has the defi gauge control and bluetooth mic also wired into the armrest so when all of it is tucked away and the armrest is in the closed position it looks like nothing is there.. I'd rather have it like that then have to find shuffle through the glovebox for them.

My favorite Subaru white is Aspen white.

My favorite whites besides that are Championship White (I'm biased probably), Super White then GPW (only for 2006 though, only year you could get the S2000 in GPW with black interior, I bought one once a white/black hit the lot :P )

What did you think about the cupholders sliding idea? Does it feel cheap? Did the lack of an armrest bother you at all while hanging out in the car? Sorry for the million questions, lol.
Thanks for the words of appreciation everyone, now let me try and answer these.

Yes I did play with the start button, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary, a note is thought it wasn't as hard of a feel as the ones in the s2000, I would say the feel of the button is closer to a 370z's start, it does bulge out and doesn't curve in like the simple s2000 button. For the Fog and Led I'm going to assume they are separate because I saw the button for the fog light, and the button next to it wasn't labeled it was blank. Not sure what to make of that, The seat adjustment was "Simple" a bar in front of the seat to slide it up and down and the lever on the side to lean back and front, I am not sure if it crank up to raise or puch down to lower because on this display car. The Lever had no pressure... I'll assume a kid got in there or there was some pretty non gentle person who broke it. My verdict on the seat is that if you are coming off from a Honda Civic Si or A early 2000 Celica or a Subaru WRX you'll feel really normal and right at home.

It does not feel cramp like the "S2000 or a Miata" you just feel like you have more room, when on paper you probrably have not much. That is probably the best description I have for the BRZ to me it felt at home, me coming off from a Civic Si Ep3(the last one before they went to clothe seat)The BRZ seat are much nicer. I am also someone who drive with both hands on the wheel and I sit very proper, I'm always in that proper driving position usually I don't tend to relax off, rarely do I drive with one hand, unless that hand is on the shifter. So for me I felt comfortable and I didn't feel like I needed an arm rest. My other friend had a different opinion he said this would be nice if it had an arm rest.

The cupholder center I'm going to say was pretty ....economical feel just like that silver plastic trim piece. Overall it really wasn't bad, to me it felt like an upgrade from the Civic I used to drive, but I can imagine if you came off from the Current VW GTI, or something expensive, even a Mustang you'll feel like it's a down grade. Miata to BRZ is subjective, I think it's much nicer than the Miata. Compared to the S2000 yeah it's a huge upgrade as well.

I hope this answer some questions, feel free to ask more or send me PM about it. If I can't answer it I'll try going again on Thursday. I'm also thinking of flying to Chicago to try and get in or see that FRS. Highly doubt the'll let anyone in...SCion only has one car on tour.

Great review. Yeah the lack of an arm rest somewhat bugs me. In my celica It's not raised it's just a storage compartment so I don't use it to rest my arms, but I like the hidden storage. The fact that the glove box is the ONLY way to hide stuff away is kinda irritating.

That said I'll probably just build a custom box and wrap it with leather to fit at the back of that section. And even with if I don't, not having that little bit of storage is such a small price to pay for such an awesome car.

Zaku,

Here is a picture of a silver Subaru, would you say that the silver on the BRZ looked like this or something different ?

Thanks, if it is indeed that color, then I think silver may have jumped to the top of my list, which means my odds of getting a car sooner just went up, as Dave is probably taking the first DMG to hit the lot

That pic doesn't have the best lighting. Based on the silver FR-S I'd say the above is a slightly darker, richer shade of silver.

I took a number of pics of the silver FR-S, not outdoor lighting of course, but.. did you check out those pics?

just my opinion but when i saw the brz in silver it look boring. maybe im biased.. my first car was an 98 a4 in silver. timing belt and water pump went within the first 2 months i had it. so i guess ever since then owning a silver car brings back bad memories.
