Ethanol free gas will cost about $4 more per fill up anyway if you can find it in GA. Either way, never said it was economical but it gets rid of the noises I don't like in my car. See ya.

You are missing the point. It's not about the $10 nor the $5. It's about the fact that your vehicle requires you to spend an extra amount that no other brand new vehicle requires.

I'm fairly sure other new vehicles have or have had issues. The Focus I had got a new tranny courtesy of Ford.

Chevron/Mobil/Valero = cricket free
Shell didn't work for me.
I filled ARCO today because I was on a time crunch and now I have loud crickets - can't wait to go back to Chevron/Mobil/Valero

I'm sure they are after their supplier for a fix.. These things take time..
It's just noise.. Still functions fine.. Sit back and wait for a fix.. It will happen..

Do you live in Europe?

The Octane ratings in Europe and the US are different.

Adding a capfull of synthetic 2-stroke oil per tank has actually worked for some people.
