How did I lose my crickets?
So, i have been hearing the crickets regularly after diving home from work. On Friday, i wanted to get home extra fast, turned off all the traction control and stuff. Turned up the radar detector. It was 97F, I had 3/4 a tank of arco 91, and the AC on. I was passing cars quite easily on a two lane road . Hitting 7000 RPM in 3,4,5, gears. Lo and behold when I got home I didn't hear any crickets in the engine.
What gives? Am I not driving hard enough to kill the crickets? |
I love how everyone is coming up with theories about losing crickets. Just wait they will come back and haunt you

Arco blech!
Shell is the one you want to use, no crickets. |
What is this "crickets" phenomenon?
Edit: Nvm I looked it up. I've never had it. |
Dont you worry. They'll be back. They always come back...

My crickets sound more like birds chirping lol
|
Yup, I thought I was rid of mine for a little bit
A few days later.... |
Easy to get rid of. Either non-ethanol 93oct or use the Lucas octane booster. I've been of that damn sound for about 4 months. When I can't find ethanol free I put in a half bottle of the Lucas juice. Works every time.

I use only 98oct gas and never had chirps or crickets. I have my car for a year now.
