Not sure if this was mentioned, but is there a convoy of Seattleites heading down? I'd like to join in if so!

I don't know if you guys noticed, but the weather forecast has really soured for this weekend. They're talking high winds and flooding.

You should create a thread and pick a spot to meet at a certain time and I'm sure there would be some Seattle people that would join and drive town to the meeting point. You could hit the Tacoma pre-meet point on your way.

I guess question is do we want to postpone it until nice weather? Does anyone want to drive for hours in pouring down rain?

Yep, I'm seeing 100% chance of rain the whole weekend and word is that it'll be real heavy.

Thinking ahead, maybe next year we schedule this for August?

It's looking pretty bad. Here's the NOAA report for Cougar, WA which is where we would pass through right before getting on NF-25.

I wasnt suggesting that anyone had to register or race, It would just be a convinient place to stop and hang out being that its 10-15minutes from Randle.

If its pouring rain we have covered pit and parking. you can see the buildings form google maps.

And please keep it classy guys, no burnouts or revving motors. We are thankful that the locals let us use the facility.

Also the Cops know when race days are so they will be out and about.

I'm still up for the drive but I don't know about standing around in 25mph winds when it pouring rain. I get enough of that visiting my jobsites LOL.
@BlueBlazeRacer - Just for curiosity sake, how is SCCA gonna feel about 20-40 people crashing their event and not participating? The cover sounds good but would hate to be unwelcome.

If everyone is civil I would highly recommend moving the event here. I do not anticipate people wanting to get out of their rides in the torrential rain storm anticipated over the weekend. The drive is still scenic and will be fun, but driving home wet and cold is not appealing.

Personally, you cannot go to Packwood, WA and not autoX at the best location in the NW. To me that would be the best of both worlds, do a morning run with NWR SCCA and then the meet up.

Ugh, crappy weather. I'd rather not stand around in torrential rain, nor drive for several hours in it. I'd rather this meet be rescheduled if we cannot get us all under some cover.
