That makes for a pretty sick power to weight ratio. And look at all that carbon fiber. :Eyebulge:

The under 3300 sounds like dry.
Still, this thing is packed with carbon fiber everywhere and that's awesome. We'll see if they made the turbo setup live up to their old NA engines in terms of excitement. Also a 7500rpm limit with continuously variable lift is pretty bold. |

No doubt... I'd expect ~3450 full of fluids--still not too bad for that size car w/ all the upgraded hardware.
I've had an e30, 36 & 46 M3s--great driver's cars.

I really enjoy this trend of shrinking weights. Finally!

If that's the case--WOW, it's a 31xx car on a low fuel load. I'll believe it when I see it, though.

Jesus. Sign me up. Starting Price at 2+ Twins.
Looks unreal though. Still not happy with the "4 Series" title for the coupe. -Pierce |

These are the types of engines that force people to rethink what they believe about turbo applications.

I agree with you though - the C7 seems to fit my wishlist better at this point in my life.

3306 lb - 15x(6.3 lb/gal) = 3212 lb. A big step in the right direction to be sure!
I'd still be a helluva lot happier with smaller size, less complexity, and more lightness, though. They should do a 1-series that's the size/weight of the twins, with ~240hp "normal" and 300hp M. That would make me sooo happy... |

Seeing those specs, it's official. My next car will be a new M3. The PERFECT all around car.
The tuning capabilities are going to be amazing. ECU reflash and full exhaust alone would most likely yield some awesome results.
