Bro I decided to keep it classic style and leave the rod. I'd totally buy a carbon fiber one if available

Fu*( that bro. With the quality of this build I could only recommend the Tom's or Syms hood props.

The GReddy hood props are the same generic kit that everyone is slingin. I picked up the same set (less the GReddy badge) for 75 bucks. I ended up giving them away because the quality was so lacking.

You can see the different versions here -

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Greddy-Carbo...fe2877&vxp=mtr

http://www.ebay.com/itm/CARBON-FIBER...e1797b&vxp=mtr

If I didn't go with the Toms/Syms I'd prolly go with the GrimmSpeed. As they are the next best (or best) engineered system.

Me too. If a prop rod is good enough for an LFA...

Besides, after looking at a couple of strut kits, all the hardware must weigh >10 lbs. I spent about $180 removing 20 lbs. from the same area with the Braille battery and don't want to reverse any potential benefits.

There was a TRD body kit 10 Series FRS turning left into the Whole Foods plaza on Valencia Blvd on Sunday at around 6pm. (http://goo.gl/maps/h20N4)
Was that you supra2nv?

Didn't realise the quality was that different. I have the carbon Greddy ones you linked to (not the circuit sport ones) and have had no problems with them and they look good.

A damper is a damper. It's the associated hardware that really bothered me. The GReddy is just the same as many different kits out there with the generic hardware used.

If you look at the differences between the Tom's, Syms, Grimmspeed and all the others on the market, you will notice the R&D that went into the different kits.

I really like the Grimmspeed set-up as it offers the highest opening of the hood.

It's kinda like Cusco rebadging the Innovate SC kit as their own without any actual Cusco R&D.
