You have to make sure you hit the rev limiter before each shift

But in all seriousness, like our Prius, I definitely notice a difference in performance when I fill up with low quality gas.

I stick with Chevron with Techron premium 93 octane. I want to try the Shell Power V but they want too much for it. In my neck of the woods Shell Power V is about .40 cents per gallon more than any other premium gas (even Chevron). Must be some awesome stuff but I'm not buying it.

I think it might just be because our car is slow...

jkjk. Not really haha.

Like others said, use up the tank, and fill up with highest octane you can(91/93 depending on where you're from)...also, break in the car first!

Slightly off topic, but the temp finally has come down here in Arizona. No need for the A/C in the car. Now the car feels ALIVE and PEPPY. Cars love nice cold air.

been running with 95 octane and 100 octane. Definitely runs better than the 91 octane stuff.

I imagine that in a high compression engine like ours, that the air temp affects it more drastically than a lower compression engine, but I may be wrong. Although it seems like that would make sense.

Well, The sales person knew nothing about these cars.

When I bought it, the car already had 197 miles on it because I wanted red ... so the salesperson got one from Tampa and drove it to Fort Myers (150 miles). I am sure they used cheap gas.

As for cold weather ... South Florida ... not really gonna happen hear ... maybe a day or two in January.

I have a 72 hour money back guarantee on the car (but I do like it) ... and I can not handle slow ... maybe a FI will be in my future.

Mine ran like shit on the "full tank" as well. After I got that outta there and got some 93 in there everything was fine.

Did you not test drive it? Why did you buy the car if you can't stand how slow it is?

Well, you sure aren't going to beat any mustangs from the stoplights around town ...... however, take that machine on some mountain roads (maybe northern Georgia) and you will see how "fast" it really is .....

I test drove 2 other cars ... and just looked over the one I bought because I did not think it would be any different. The others seemed quicker ... I am betting it is just cheap gas

I will be forced to add a supercharger very soon. I have already started looking into it, but need to understand which is the best for 93 octane ... not doing the water/methanal or E85 again ... already made that mistake a couple times.

I figure 275-300 hp should do the trick
