I have peeling too! It's on the left side of the steering wheel, not even where I normally hold it. Weird.

I notice the same with my mat. I went to Auto Zone and got a pair of small clear mats and solved it.

I had the OEM mats for several months waiting for Weathertech's digifit, and do not show any signs of wear and tear.

Weathertech Digital fit came in today, put them on, and I immediately started wondering why I didn't order them the same day I got the car.

I'll never waste money on "mats" again.

You guys got me wanting the weathertechs. I have to admit though, the factory all weather mats fit exactly like the OEM carpeted mats. They look pretty good in there.

Yea the only thing I don't like about them is they don't have a lip. So any amount of standing water on it slides over the edge. And a lot of dirt gets around the edges so you still have to vacuum although less than the fabric mats.

Yep. Only 13,000 miles here and still like new. When I drive I'm either wearing a pair of Cole Hann driving shoes of a pair of L.L. Bean camp mocs. It's the heels on street shoes that are killing the mats.

Has anyone been able to come up with a part number for the OEM carpet mats? My dealer doesn't list one.

They have a lip. It wont hold what the weather techs will hold, but there is definitely a lip.

Are the subaru mats the same as the scion mats? It is worse under the clutch than the accelerator. As far as shoes, I am a helicopter pilot, and I have to wear particularly clunky shoes for my safety attire. They are definitely hard on mats. The majority of my driving is to and from work. I have owned many many cars, and have never come close to wearing out floor mats though. These things are cheap. I have been a pilot since 1992, and have had to wear clunky boots/shoes when in the military and at all of the post military flying jobs I've had. I have never damaged mats before.
