I think those pictures have been debunked as just a "place-holder" photo because of the headlamp washers and the lack of "pre-production model shown with optional equipment" disclaimer.

Actually as of now that is just a downloadable photoshopped wallpaper of a Toyota 86 by Scion and they also blacked out the headlight housing not really showing the LED strip probably so people won't think it'll be an option. As much I would like the LED DRLs to be an option I don't see it happening, maybe HIDs but even that is unlikely.

none of the other scion cars have hids as an option. not sure if that means anything, just sayin

Doubtful. He there acting as an executive producer insuring the ad properly reflects what Scion wants to get across.

I can't wait to see the ads late-night on Cartoon Network/Adult Swim.

ETA: now that I think about it, the timing of this ad shoot seems to be in-line for Super Bowl & Daytona 500 ad space... hmmmm.

Seriously? Since when Aftermarket bumper costs more than stock headlight? I bought unpainted one for less than 200 IIRC.

Just because we don't see HIDS with LED DRLs in the base car does not mean it won't be an option or accessory. We just don't know. It could go either way.

I think HID headlight will be optional as we have already seen black out HID headlight on Scion website, but I think I like BRZ's better.
Edit: Someone posted the Silver FR-S with HID headlight on the previous page.
