I think HID compensates though, the bright white glow from an HID is high class in itself IMO.

Is it just me, or does Jack Hollis make you think of Al Bundy before he got married?

I completely agree! I bet Jack was one hell of a women's shoe salesman prior to working at Toyota.

Jack if you are reading this forum, and we guessed that you were a shoe salesperson at one point...you owe us t-shirts saying:

"My FR-S was pitched by Al Bundy from Gary's Shoes and Accessories for Today's Woman"

And it has to have a this picture on the back:

You will be able to get TRD springs as optional equipment, so don't see a big deal with that.

hopefully scion chose a quality halogen/projector beam setup that offers close to HID levels of brightness and color. this pic makes me optimistic. but the realist in me says its just the camera making it look that way

I may just go for these right out of the gate. All I really want is wheels and a cat back.

It's likely the color temperature of the exposure is off. If you compare that pic with others shot in daylight where the lights are on, you can see the running/parking light is orange and the halogen is the typical low-to-mid 3,xxx Kelvin.

From Scion website for those who haven't seen it

If they are being shown, then it must be a possibility, but the headlights are exact copies of each other - meaning 'shopped

As much as I want to get one right when it comes out, I need to wait a couple years before I am in a position to buy.

I keep thinking... Well maybe I will get a used BMW, or a 350/370Z, maybe a late model V6 Eclipse (Yeah I know, not RWD). But then I check in here and see new pictures of the FR-S/BRZ and fall right back in love. I know that if I get anything else to replace my slow, trustworthy little Yaris I will be sad every time I see the FR-S/BRZ, because its what I really wanted.

It's a long wait, but its gonna be worth it for this wonderful car. Also if they offer a TRD lowering kit, I am going for it.
