Some shops can do half hour rate, so look into that too. sounds like 30-40 would be more plausible.

Bingo, pulley strap.

Or if you like to take risks, you can pull the fuel pump fuse, put a breaker bar on the bolt and rest the end of it on the concrete floor. Then turn the motor over. I wouldn't actually do this on my car though. Actually, I wouldn't ever do this.

Of course, you also need a way to put the pulley back on. So just go get the breaker bar, pulley strap, a buddy and a torque wrench.

Yeah, and for anyone thinking of this, especially don't try this if you have pushbutton start. It will just keep trying to start the car. In general I would say if you're tempted to go this route it's time to step back, get the right tools, take it to a pro, or just give up.

Thanks guys. It is an automatic, so I'm gonna suck it up and pay this time, but I called a buddy mechanic of mine who says he will show me some basics about working on cars. With my first brand new car, I don't want to risk screwing ANYTHING up. I plan on getting an intake, cat-back, tune, and maybe springs in the next year, so I'll read up till then. Put on the shorty antenna and K&N Filter today, hey it's a start!

Good call. You'd definitely need the pulley tool for an auto, and at that point you're already in for $50 unless you sell it to someone else.

Intake you can do yourself with a basic toolkit.

Cat-back you can do yourself with a basic toolkit, floorjack and a couple of jackstands, but that's some backbreaking work that you might want to just pay someone to do for you unless you have access to a lift to make it real easy.

Tune is a no-brainer, and depending on who you get it from, they'll probably do it for you if they're local.

Springs you can do with a basic toolkit floorjack and jackstands.

Good luck and enjoy!

Get a breaker bar, and use a torque wrench to install. It's very easy to do and save yourself money.
