Maybe you do have a lemon.

But your bitching about the transmission after you messed with it. How do you know that the mod you did to the transmission is not part of the problem?

What is wrong with the fuel pump? Crickets?

What is wrong with the axle?

As for rattles mine come and go but I have owned $50K vehicles that have had rattles and their own share of problems (headlights, roof liners, moonroofs, frame, etc...).

but, for what its worth, I'll patronize you with this:

Detonation is happening and I've never tracked it. The dealer changed my fluid already. And I'm happy you don't get rattles. I do. I know it's a brand new platform, but Toyota usually doesn't have this shit.

I've never messed with the trans. I never installed the bushing because it was starting to grind. Fuel pump is crickets on steroids. The axle clicks and when I make my first turn of the day, the car slips.

Edit: Okay, this was a little cheap. I just sorta flipped when I saw "college student" and brand new car with lots o toys and now wah-wah on the internet about it because it isn't perfect. Check your priorities & man up. When a car makes you miserable, the issue isn't the car. You shoulda seen the shitboxes I drove in college. They didn't make me miserable (but sometimes they made me late for class, lol).

I saw you have had the car since April. I've had mine since last August. I didn't drive it through the winter up here, but I would still expect to see some of the same stuff as you if this was an across-the-line mistake. I am starting to think you may have a lemon after all, as my car is older than yours and I hear almost nothing besides road noise and the stereo. Don't know what to tell you on the detonation, other than it is a TSB and the dealership should fix it under warranty.

Oh, and as far as the dealership working on a transmission...the last car I had (tC) had a tranny flush and replace @ the dealership, and the morons didn't seal it up correctly, so I was leaking fluid. I'd take it to a shop you trust and make sure they didn't f*ck anything up under there.

I've heard if you have someone else touch the transmission fluid, it voids that part of the warranty. No thanks. Because if they did fuck it up, it's their fault and they should fix it.

I literally hate my car. It's not fun to drive anymore. Then the dealers will do nothing to help me. A few dealers won't do shit after bringing the car to them. I literally want to just say fuck it and get rid of the car, but I will lose a shit ton of money and it's not so easy for a college kid to do that. I don't think I will ever not buy a Lexus again. I was optimistic about this car that it was a cheap sports car. But that's just it. It's cheap. Cheaply made, cheaply taken care of, and cheaply fixed when problems arise. And I'm not sure I want to go through the hassle of lemon law because my car hasn't "been to the dealer enough" and it was purchased and licensed in a different state. I truly hope everyone else is happy with their car but I see why a lot of people are starting to sell; they don't want the issues. If my axle fails at 6,000 miles without any tracking, what does that mean for the entire car? I know it's mostly Subaru, but the fact that Toyota would put this car out as their own sickens me. Maybe I do just have a lemon. Maybe I am overreacting. But I'm sick of my car in particular, but I may be stuck with it for awhile. Why can't they come out with a new fuel pump after over a year of knowing about it? Do they not care? I hate taking my car to the dealer to tell them everything that's wrong, wait 8 hours, then be told they could not replicate ANYTHING. I have no fun driving this car anymore. And I can't believe I have to pay for something, with a warranty, that has so many problems that aren't being fixed. /rant
Is your rant over..??

So...... question for you have you ever called Scion Corporate about your problems..??

If you have lame ass dealer they can help you out so if you haven't contacted them here's the phone number. 1-866-707-2466.

Yes, thank you.

I haven't called them yet, but that's my next step. However, I do not want the car anymore. These problems have made me fail to have fun with it. I no longer want it to be fixed. I want it gone, so I can go back to Lexus.

It sucks that you're having problems, but it is a completely new model so there will be some bugs. Personally I think forums can be misleading in respect to how many problems a car has. People on here both push their cars harder then your average person, and are much more aware of ever little rattle or squeak.

Our other car is a Honda fit which is pretty much bullet proof but if you go on forums it would look like people have all kinds of problems with it.
