Innovate Supercharger Owners Topic

Modding is not necessarily about "my plug n play kit is better than your plug n play kit".

Modding is really about learning something unique along the way and maybe that might take some custom fabrication.

Nobody ever got anywhere by standing still when there were questions to be answered and warranties to be voided. Do not mod if you don't have the cash to back it up.

Very true. One of the reasons I wanted a supercharger was because I have had 2 turbo cars and have never experienced a supercharger.

perhaps they meant fitting as in removing the triangulation bars? or designing the an inlet that goes around the triangulation bars?
Who knows, it just doesn't "look" like there is 80mm to 100mm behind the current off the shelf bullet/sprintex/innovate kit at the moment.

I had a T-bird Supercoupe that came with a factory eaton (positive displacement) supercharger. It had IRS, was years ahead of its time. Amazing throttle response, owning that car is the main reason I am interested in the Innovate. And yes straight from the factory it had the wind sound.

With custom fab anything is possible. The best builds I've ever seen have been highly custom. I made a mistake this time around buying a bunch of disconnected vendor products with no standards for interoperability fitment. With a tuner shop custom fabricating everything, it puts one set of hands up against the fire. It is more expensive, yes, but the results are far better.

Around here is not just more expensive its "should have bought a Porsche expensive."

Depends are where you live there are talented custom shops that are reasonable.

I am with you on this. My car is staying on e85 and no IC for a bit if I ever decide to buy one.

Yeah, except that $65000 Cayman always ends up costing $95000 after all is said and done. That's a lot of 86s.

I confirmed this as well

The things been out a couple months and people are trying to cram a bigger blower on already. Interesting... I hope it works, but it makes you wonder why they didn't put a decent sized one on there in the first place.

Well it's rated up to about 350bhp on pump fuel, so they probably thought that was enough for a stock engine.

Rated at 300hp according to sprintex http://www.sprintex.com.au/sprintex/superchargers/

Presumably at the crank, though they don't specify.
