Seriously, mods please close this thread and start a new one with relevant information. You guys are acting like its high school. How this should have been handled was a PM from Toni addressing the claims to Shiv and then the original post could have been updated. Presto, the flame war could have been avoided. But instead we have a pissing match over a misunderstanding.

All you are doing is making it more difficult to get anything done around here. If you guys are cool with getting assraped by the ECUtek business model (not including tuners) then by all means, continue on your merry way. But don't ruin it for those of us who would like to see another route available. I personally would like to self tune, but have no idea how these multi layered maps work. This information would be invaluable to me.

Grow the fuck up and let our platform grow. Internet shit talking doesn't earn you cool points.

I appreciate your effort allow shiv to beta test on your vehicle but you should have done it impartially. Especially since you sent me one log where you car was running extremely rich. your LTFT were disabled so I could dial in your maf scaling and you never submitted any following logs as a follow up. My tunes have never been advertised as a “Canned” tune and never will. I tune every vehicle specific using you datalogs so if you never submit a log it will never show full potential. Your base files primary purpose to to have you log and a RaceRom enable rom which allows for some of the extended logging parameters to be recorded such as IAM MAF voltage etc.

Your email g=here stated yourtime line and concerns 1 week before your track evet yet you never opted to send back your logs

I need to clarify this further, the email in the pic above was the first data-log with 3rd gear WOT and 1-6 gears I sent in as per instruction by FA20Club. New tuned file was sent back to me in 3 days or so but without any further instruction or asking me to provide more data-log. Hence, I assumed the tune file for my car is completed until I add more mods to my car, so why am I being blamed for not completing data-loggin process??

Anyways, its all pointless at this point, the Dyno results were indisputable for me and I switched to a product I believed is superior. I am not here to start war or flame but to allow buyers on this forum to make better informed purchase decisions.

@FA20Club, I would be greatly appreciated if you would delete the email picture to at least protect the privacy of your customer.

I personally can't see anything wrong with your logic there. But with how this thread has gone I'm not quite sure what you should expect at this point.

However the good news is that this program works and at this point seems to finally be the option to allow those of us who want to tune on our own a way to do so and share what we do.
The rest of this... well its just the internet and things get weird out here.

Well, welcome to the world of remote tuning!!! I had plenty of bad experiences with bad tuners. I think clear instructions and communication is key. No one would disagree
That being able to read your own logs is bad. I think the more you learn the better off
You will be!!! Hope this ends once and for all... Pure misunderstanding!! Lets
Drop it and continue to provide good info! That is why I read the forums!! Thx

I never got it dyno but my car seriously felt no different after the flash and Toni can really make a rookie car tuner feel like an idiot. Partly because I deserve it but now my car's gas meter is always off. Sometimes it says full, or empty random times of of the day when I drive my car. When it says empty for a while I would go fill up and it would only fill 15$.

I would ask Toni for help but I figured it's pointless because he would probably tell me it's my fault. So instead I'm waiting to buy the nameless header and getting a re-tune from someone else. That's my 2cents for Toni
So... did you send logs back? Did you talk to Toni? Toni doesn't do "cobb" style tuning where you plug in an access port and BAM you make power. Toni afaik typically takes a car thats simliar to your mod list, enrichens slightly (*COUGH* you can lose power from this as its a basemap, as you should for a basemap!), and awaits you to send logs in for him to do adjustments.

Did you contact him on the fuel level issue? I know one member had that issue locally with me. I have not asked her if she still has the issues but I haven't heard anything from her after she had Toni dyno tuner her car so I "assume" that her car is just fine. I will text her tomorrow and check (as it is quite late here!).

I am here to learn, it is really difficult with ~10 informative posts out of ~100 (posts from shiv, rombin, arghx7, mad_sb, toni) but every thing else filled with utter crap.
ITT:

New guy registers and pays his fee for being a vendor.
New guy on purpose and or accidentally bashes another vendor when they both provide different services all together (hardware + base map vs actual tuner who providers custom tuning).
Thread spirals out a bit.
Accused vendor speaks up in single post, and then asks others to chime in
Others chime in with their experience.

This thread... is what it should be based off of the first post. The first post indicated it was a pissing contest between vendors and this has stayed 100% on topic. If the OP disagree's IMO this should be locked and he can start a fresh thread that is not stabbing at someone who has a good reputation in our community.

Usually he is pretty quick about it. My suggestion would be to send another email with the logs and say "hey it had been a few days, my car runs a little rough and I am a tad worried can you look at it?" Send it to info@fa20club instead if you aren't already. Toni has been pretty busy as of late so keeping the email short helps. I talked to him this afternoon and he seemed pretty tied up with a few projects (actually wrenching vs sitting in front a computer updating tunes!).

I hope Ecutek doesn't become the 86 napster since I'm already invested, ha. They better keep up and allow editing by users. Everyone's ecutek tunes are about to get pirated and made public so should be exciting at least. Won't be boring that's for sure.

So the tune on your car wasn't the base map but the first tune based on your data log?
Did you ask for the throttle pedal response to be increased as was found?

Voice your Opinion email.

I just got this in my inbox from FA20Club.com. Not sure if it was a spam mail or something, but I thought I'd put my 2c in if anyone cares. It's my honest and humble 2c though..

I'm going to be building up my ENGINE right the FIRST TIME. $600 AUD is a cheap lesson regarding the remote tuning BS that is floating around. I've decided to see if I can get this EcuCrap removed from my car. Worst case the ECU will be overwritten with some other tuning software that the local tuner here uses, no great loss. Good luck with the other guys here who have had a positive experience with their remoted tuning though. I'll make sure I won't trip on the way out..

Not saying anyone is lying but something doesn't add up, huh? Sure we'll see plenty of fa20club and visconti tunes pulled and analyzed soon so truth will out.

Wow, this thread went from almost useful to pure bs. I was really looking forward to seeing unbiased info on new ways to flash and tune our cars. Instead it gets turned into yet another incomplete and unfair vendor shootout. Regardless of the tuning platform, all tuners tweak the same data and maps so I don't know why we continue to pull master tuners into a tuning device discussion. Seems counterintuitive...

Baselines, end results, and how you got there only please!

Let's not kid around. This thread was doomed from the first post.

There is good information that this community can get out of openness and collaboration. Pitting vendor against vendor or tuner against tuner in this community is a surefire way of creating drama and we've seen it time and again with us users ending up fighting their proxy wars and we all lose.

lol its so funny to read this whole thread. People pay the money get a tune and move on! most complaing what you spent a few 100s and are not happy thats the game. You either like the tune or you dont. The minute someone does not like the tune they start saying the product sucks etc etc and are not patient to send a datalog back and wait. instead jump ship and have more headache. I bet most that dont like "fa20club" tune will find there way back and say oh im sorry hahahah! can i get a tune lol because of the success rate!. If you want get the OFT pay the money build, boost, tune what ever and come back with facts and we all can compare data. I am always down to help and compare im curious what others can do with there car weather it works or not thats part of the game. FA20club has made my car a monster one of the highest whp maybe and keeps going and i love my car every minute not to b biased lol but i turn the key it cranks up and i redline and drive hard daily and i have proven it to many so it work and works well. I want that from others start a new thread OFT what ever tune works for anyone and start posting charts videos everything.

I would like to see the vendor simply post the benefits of their product and dyno improvement over stock. Leave the pissing matches (i.e. vendor v. vendor or software v. software) to the customers. Vendors need to live above the fray.

There was good information here until the in-depth trashing of tunes and tuner, however subtle, occurred.
