Assume vid. Love the camera angle too. You can see the sparks from the brake.

of coz its depend on the driver, but if its same driver, I'm sure stock FRS will have a better lap time then a stock S2K because S2K is much harder to control without a wing. Once the s2k has some suspension and GT wings, the FRS won't able to keep up even with the same mod.

mm.....can you even build one? I was talking about basic mods that us can do to it. the Griffon one has only 2200 lbs and that is almost impossible to do it. I think S2000 with this kinda of mods and weight is able to run that time in Tsukuba or even faster

If you think about it, it's not at all that impossible to get close to most of the parts list on the Griffon. The ASM S2000 was getting around the same times before they started cranking up the power and went even crazier than TRD w/ weight reduction (305hp/2,151lbs) to get 59 seconds at Tsukuba. http://www.hondatuningmagazine.com/f...0/viewall.html So I don't think the S2000 necessarily reacts better to upgrades than the 86. Apart from double wishbones and F/R weight distribution, it doesn't really have any other advantages apart from stock power (and less torque). 86 has better CoG, torsional rigidity, base weight. Rest of the dimensions are within 1% of each other except wheelbase. |

anyway, It was only my opinion about s2k and 86 and what I see on my local track. although I like how the S2k drives on track, but I still love my 86 and doing great lap time on the track.

S2000 - suspension work, 255 hankook rs3, track pads
FRS - oem suspension, 225 falken 615k, hybrid street track pads The main difference is suspension and tire width. Do the same mods to my FRS and it will be respectable but I still think it struggles to match the lap times of my s2k. Recently added aero (wing, splitter) and a stoptech bbk . I expect the gap between the cars to grow significantly. I'll be doing a shake down on sept 27 @ T'hill |

I reckon its extremely fair run in my opinion. The frs made up with ecu flash and intake/exhaust to get the power boost on the other hand the s2k is running mainly stock bits. . . and im sure all s2k owners including myself know how heavy the stock cat + pipes are.
I think the s2k is the slower car because with even all the mods the s2k is way harder car to drive than the frs. The frs is easy to drive with heaps of potential its only before time before the s2k is out of the game. The s2k even though its made from 2000 to 2009 its still a 13year old design . . with barely any changes throughout its life time its respectable and great for new car to be compared to but its a old car. I sold my s2k for brz because the brz is such a wayyyyy better car to drive in "most" situation and feels better alot easier to drive. Though the honda engines are unbeatable in characteristics the FA20 is better balanced engine for "all" scenario soo easy in everyday traffic while the s2k you will be embrassed to rev to 4~5k just to get moving and not really get anywhere but such a racey engine characteristic which is very honda like lol |
