yes, things happened, misfire codes threw, knock happened, ran hot, ran rich, ran lean, backfires in exhaust backfires in intake
all said and done its been hairy to get it all right.
What has really surprised me is how well these motors hold up to these mistakes. They can take all that bad stuff happening and still keep on running. I know we have lost some motors, but I still feel the FA20 is a very resilient motor.

this is what I call having fun..
[ame]http://youtu.be/h14gDxJCD7g[/ame]

Yes I am chasing what appears to be a leak by my logs of the hiccups along the way when youre adopting newly developed product
fun right? happens above 10psi only so not easy to 'find'

Vortech has been stellar as has been Perrin in terms of troubleshooting

I found a pickle jar lid that sealed my coupler just right, bit scary to use tho, if it blows, I can see the headlines now:

"man decapitated by pickle jar lid testing boost kit on '86 car"

still, testing to 1.9 bar(thats 15psi) is needed to verify and troubleshoot, Jeff wants me to go past my range of operation to test

at the end of the video I uncover some carpet and stuff, if you guys ever presure test your stuff, be safe about it, dont go putting you ear into a hose that can blow, 5psi is loud

We have a leak somewhere, not sure where yet. its a slow and time consuming process to spray down each connection and check, wish I had a $2000 smoke machine handy
Its not something I see static, this stuff can take days and cost lots of time, so if youre not the type who works on your car yourself, wait untill all of this is tested and true before you go order it. That said I'd love for someone else to share the growing pains. The oil fed kit has alot of promise, but its just not been proven yet.

Just noticed this post, stupid mobile app doesn't tell me about mentions. Thanks for the info man, seems like quite the roller coaster ride to get it working.

That being said, even reading all of that, all the problems and uncertainty ... I'm still going to go forward with it once the motor gets built over the winter.

Gotta get the EBC/Wastegate setup working first. Then WMI in the spring hopefully.

BTW do you still have that pickle jar I'd like to use it for home decor.
