The motor size and everything is okay. Considering the Honda Civic has 197hp @ the crank and weights 2870lbs and gets around just fine, I think the FR-S/GT-86 will get about even better.

I'm with you and also the assymetrical rod shouldn't be s surprise. It became standard for new designs of Subaru engines starting with the EZ36D. The new engines don't have wrist pin holes in the side of the blocks anymore.

As for open deck, yes I know of someone who's been running 10's in his 2.1 stroker with 205 cases for a few years

You use that formula for tq at any RPM. I was debating on trying to do it but that graphs image on the video is so bad, it would be a really rough shot form the hip. I know redline and pk power and then have to scale down from that given RPM scale to guess the rest of the points

TQ = (HP*5252)/rpm

Use that if you want to use the horsepower line to figure out torque at any given point.

Use that if you want to use the horsepower line to figure out torque at any given point.

Horsepower is just a mathematical number, not a measurable force. The two measurable components of hp are torque & RPM, so you can't really compare hp & torque, because one is based on the other.
