Cat-back question

So i just installed my first cat-back ever the invidiaQ300 to be exact. Ive seen a lot of the videos and i like the tone which is why i got it. After starting it up it sounds stock like i dont have a cat-back. Is this just the normal break in procedure and also it smells like burnt toast right now while its idling and smoking. Im also running a catless front pipe and over pipe

Were the front pipe and over pipe on the car before, or did you install them with the cat back?

The cat back will probably smell funny for a bit as any coatings burn off.

When you say it doesn't sound like a cat back, what do you mean? Is it too quiet? The Invidia Q300 is known to be pretty quiet compared to other aftermarket exhausts, but it should definitely be louder than stock.

Q300 is supposed to be very quiet. It will probably get a little louder over time, but not much.

I know it's too late, but videos on the internet is incredibly inaccurate. That's why it is best, if possible, to hear it in person.

No ive had the front pipe and over pipe with a muffler delete for a couple thousand miles now and i recently got a good deal on a q300 so the invidia Q300 is the newest part on it. I knew it would be more quiet especially compared to my muffler delete but i didnt know it would be this quiet. What i mean is that it sounds stock like the stock cat-back as if it doesnt have an aftermarket exhaust. Although i did some spirted driving last night around town and i can hear it coming so i guess its just that "burn in period" that a lot of people talk about.

Yeah i wish i couldve heard it in person but not many people are running a cat-back here in San Antonio. Although you are right i can here the rumble and loudness of it coming through slowly.
