Well I have owned lots of sports cars with uncomfortable seats. The bar is low...

True but I honestly find the BRZ seats more comfortable than my "old" BMW X1. Which by the way is faster than both the BRZ and genny. Speed is so not what makes a car fun to drive. Neither is interior gizmos or luxury. In the end it's all about driver feedback.

yea, especially with that huge mark down they recently did.

gen makes no sense when 370z entry price has drop so much. better aftermarket and better look imo of course

glad you got the car you wanted tho!

just to be sure you got my point of why I'm making of you for going for a Genesis:

I wouldnt've made fun of you if you went for a 370z, MX5, etc...

But you went for a fucking Hyundai Genesis....

That's like so faaaar away from what BRZ/FR-S is....that you might as well went for a Van or a SUV.

The Genesis coupe is NOT a SPORT CAR. It's a selling/marketing product.

It wasn't designed to be a sports car, it's a simply a gimmicky modification of a chassis/vehicle parts of a car that was originally designed to be a MPG soccer mom D class sedan that tries too hard to keep up with Honda and Toyota.

That's the reality. You might as well buy an Altima Coupe. It's the same thing. Those cars were not designed to be sport cars, or even a driver's car. They are designed to be selling points for clueless people like you, that because they see 2 doors and a spoiler, somehow they think they are buying something "sporty".

The reality is that you bought a modified chassis of a $18k soccer mom's car, with a big V6 engine to give you the impression that you are driving something sporty.

If you are so clueless, that's fine, but at least go for a real "marketing coupe" like a Honda Accord Coupe or Altima Coupe. Why would you go for the crappiest of the bunch?

lol whoa things gettin nasty!

But in all serious words... I have a few friends that have Gennys, they are ok for sure. But each of them that have rode in my car both now want an 86 platform be it BRZ or FR-S. The way the car feels and feeds back to you the driver is 100% DIFFERENT. Now to each their own and decisions been made and certainly you may love your genny and I hope you do. Personally I do not care about lack of power, taking care of that one paycheck at a time and it's going smoothly. This car is a stepping stone to the Supra for me, but even then I will keep it. I have owned many mustangs, camaros, a celica and some other stuff to honestly these little cars BRZ/FR-S hands down are the most enjoyable cars to drive.. wouldn't trade if for half the cars that are worth twice the money now. And that is no joke..

I don't think you have ever driven a Genesis Coupe. An Altima coupe is no comparison and to be fair to the Genesis Coupe, if you get the RSPEC even the 2.0 is faster than the FRZ around the track. The V6 is way faster.

The problem with the 370 is that it has no backseat. Neither does the MX-5. Not the OP, but that might be his consideration just lie it was mine.

The Gencoupe is a lot of car for the money. You can get the base 2.0 turbo for around $23K. I would take that anyday over an Altima coupe. The Gencoupe is more of an alternative to a V6 Mustang or V6 Camaro than anything else.

you are the dumbest idiot ive seen in a while .. the gc is much more fun to drive than a Z and also handles better has less known problems and better long term reliability... i went from the gc to a brz because i wanted a smaller/lighter car and i love my brz but there hasn't been a single month without a trip to the dealership.. i didn't have all those problems with the genesis and despite being more fun to drive there's a lot of things the gencoupe offered that the brz doesn't

The BRZ is definitely not extremely powerful. But it's funny that people these days consider it SLOW. It does 0-60 in under 7 seconds...that was GSR Territory back in the day and people didn't think of them as slow. To me this car is like a GSR with rear wheel drive...plus a few other perks.

I planned on going with vortech but there are quite a few hurdles with tuning these cars so ended up not getting one. I know going to vet grief but went with a hyundai genisis coupe. Ill probably wait and see if a proper sti makes it way to the states. So if anyone looking for a brz dark blue manual in the houston are go talk to troy at west houston subaru.
FAIL.
I did the same back when the twins first came out. My last second switch was because I wanted a TURBO car. Worst car you can buy is a hyundai, they look nice dont get me wrong, but they handle like shit compared to the twins. I smashed my Genny and I wasn't even doing anything bad, a little bit of rain on the floor, I was rolling 50KM/h pressed the gas a bit and the thing spun out of control. Wasn't the first time. Smashed that shit and got the FRS never going to anything else. Plus the gennys are just as fast as the FRS in a straight line. Frs on the turns are quicker, and tail happy atleast you can control it. But in the end its your decision.

I would have gotten a 370z or anything else before a genny.
