Another one to add to the pile. Seriously. Call Clint. You're not going to get a BRZ for the price you want anywhere in SoCal. I tried for a loooong time when I should have just called Clint.

Do yourself a favor and call Clint Earhart from Heuberger Subaru for a quote.

I'm getting mine shipped to me, with everything for far less than $28k from him.

Also, that means your BRZ will actually be "new", no test driven by a dozen 16 year olds per weekend, like most BRZs that are siting on a dealer lot seem to be.

Just be patient and wait for your car to arrive, I bet that's worth saving couple thousand. You can use the money you save to order parts you want while you wait, which is what I'm doing.

But for the love of god, do yourself a favor and don't pay that ridiculous price.
Because California has crazy taxes and fees. 8-9%+ depending on where you live. If Clint sold the car to you for $26K, you will still be paying $29K easy (probably closer to $30K) once you factor in taxes, shipping, and other fees.

9% holyfuck that's a lot.

And I thought 6.25% in texas was bad.

But then again, you get to live in the most decent state in US.

This is one reason I love New Hampshire. No sales tax! You can get a new BRZ Limited Manual for 27K lol

I bought my Limited locally for MSRP, so ~$31k OTD. Mine was only driven by the dealership to take the car off the transport truck and to the dealership's storage area waiting for me to pick it up. The rest of the miles were mine

X2. Yes, we're getting that same price from Clint, too. But even through Heuberger, a well-appointed 6M Limited will run a Californian about $30K after TTL and trucking fees. In Los Angeles County, we pay ~11% of the purchase price for TTL.

In Maryland, got mine for about ~$28,700 OTD. Negotiated price of the car was $27,174.

CA tax alone costs more than 2k. It is not including titles and registration

OP is asking for out the door...

Mine was a "car show car" and I ended up paying "shipped" around $27500 (that price includes the gas money back and flight to Colorado.)

After I actually register the car in California, I spent a hair over $30k total, which includes tax.

This thread should 1) be moved to SoCal forum, and 2) others posting from non-CA states should put some context into their pricing, with perhaps a sales tax rate as reference in their out-the-door prices.

FWIW, CA tax varies wildly, from as low as 7.5% in very rural areas to as high as 10% in some cities.

(and most people don't even know why local rates are higher... a hint, most of it is used to pay for transportation upgrades http://www.boe.ca.gov/pdf/pub71.pdf)
