scratch removal products (which ones work?)

Hey just wondering if anyone here has had luck successfully removing light to medium scratches
particularly with Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0

i heard some of the other products can dull your coat or something.

what have you guys used?

It's not nearly as simple as slapping some ScratchX on and having the scratches magically disappear.

To directly answer your question, some success can be had by using Scratch X by hand, but only on the lightest of scratches.

Watch this or jump to 6:10 for the best explanation as to what you're actually doing to the surface of your car when you wash/buff/polish/wax/etc.

I've gotten rid of two clear coat scratches with 3m's system. Its the same way I've seen a body shop remove scratches.

I have meguiar's ultimate compound and ultimate polish. Ultimate compound does wonder for stubborn etched water spots. To finish it up, I use ultimate polish.

Not to mention, they are good to remove etched bird craps
