FYI, my favorite catback exhaust is Perrin, so good choice to those who've gotten them!

You realize the post you're quoting is almost a year old and predates any of the links you provided, right? I'm glad you got all worked up and tried to put me in my place over it though. It's kind of cute.

Thanks for coming out, better luck next season.

Worked up? Seems your the one upset. The purpose of my posting was to provide information that obviously had been overlooked; which by the way just happen to disprove your ignorant statement "that Resonated and Unresonated make the same power." So maybe next time before you make claims, you might want to research your position, so you don't look like an asshat.

You realize that my post was made PRIOR to the posts you linked to. None of it had been "done for me" at the time. That's (part of) the reason your post looks so stupid.

Also, the results you provided were within the margin of error. So no, it still doesn't prove anything.

I do, now, realize your posts were made prior to my links, which is why I do indeed look stupid as you have stated. My apology.

As for the margin of error, Dsport tried to ensure a controlled environment, so I trust their statement that the unresonated makes more power, even if it's marginally better.

I spoke directly with Perrin before I purchased my exhaust and inquired about the res vs non res.

I think it was Jeff (need to go look been a while) who told me that if I was not going FI or deleting cats that the non would be fine sound wise and give ~2more HP than the resonated version.

So I took Jeff at his world. Maybe some of you want more proof than that which is understandable.

For the record though my non resonated is not too loud, rapsy, and does not drone. I love my exhaust, it sounds mean when I get on it and tame (but noticeable) when I dont.

You're welcome. I had the non resonated mid pipe for three months and I couldn't live with it. It is too loud for what this car can deliver, too loud and stays loud. I felt uncomfortable driving around in the streets (and sometimes embarrassing). Please note that I have headers as well and I have the full perrin exhaust pipes, so the resonator is a must for me. The sound in the video is just revving but when you drive the resonated exhaust it is very comfortable on the highways, not obnoxious. I'm glad I changed, I was thinking I'll need more air flow but I don't see any difference.
