Ive actually been meaning to ask, but never go around to actually contacting anybody who tunes, with an aftermarket tune(like ecutek) can you change the style of rev limiting?(fuel cut, ignition cut, etc etc)

Yes Mike @ Moto-East changed the rev limiter via tuning so it just bangs off without losing much speed.

Turn off VSC to get the soft limiter. With the hard limiter you should notice that the slip warning flashes. Turn off VSC and this doesn't happen.

Hmm, that's odd. With everything on for me hitting red line triggers the stability warning and fuel cut for ~2 seconds. Put VSC into sport mode and I can ride the limiter all I want. I don't know of any reason why the programming would be different across BRZs and FR-Ss.

Unless you really do have a Tc, which is an entirely different car and not the subject of this discussion...

I rarely use sport mode on my car either all assists on or all off and same result the rev limiter I had on my 2nd gen tc was 10x better than this but no I traded they car in for this one and to this point my only complaint is my rev limiter lol

Mine does the "fast" limiter while stopped and "slow" while moving. If I can change it to always be fast, I will. Sounds too sexy to resist.
