intake manifold needs to come off to fix a water leak that should have been fixed before everything was put back together. I guess when a rod shot through the block it cracked a water line so it needs to be replaced. Think @FA20Club.com is shooting for saturday dyno

It is more than a water line, more like a water channel. The later Subaru engines use a similar setup I believe. Tell them to throw some JB Weld on it and you are good to go.

JB Weld? Couldn't even use that to bond to an Allen key to an over-torqued fastener. It's crap.

It might not have the ability to break loose an over-torqued fastener as that is what a real welder is for, but it does work well at bonding metal items together. My favorite is actually JB Stick. Duct tape might work as well if he is really in a rush.
