stood around embarrassed as my alarm went nuts for a while. this is after getting in and starting up. just about to leave and it starts blaring. this has happened a couple of times before, but i had figured i was maybe opening the door too fast (unlock by touch).

I did the nav system bypass. It didn't work. My nav has the update that uses the GPS speed.

We need a software hack.

Thanks for the heads-up, glad I didn't do it. Give it time, someone's abound to hack it. Only bummer is that with the new head unit, we have a limited number of people with the same head unit and problem. I wonder if forums for the other cars using it have cracked it already.

I've been digging through the intewebz and didn't find anything. What I did is put connectors instead of just cutting the wires out so I can remove the switch and the parking break ground and just reconnect the wires again.

There must be a way to disable that speed sensing via software hack like on the canadian models.
