The vendor has determined I got a defective unit. I'm currently waiting for the sales staff to send a replacement. Apparently it is adding a character unexpectedly when the information is received.

I'm using these mounts - www.stuggracing.com - awesome!

I have a question on graphing though - how can I add more than one PID to the line graph? I presume you can because of the yellow and purple key at the bottom, but I cant see how to add the second one...
Thanks in advance.

Semi-related question(s): Do they make wifi obd2 adaptors and can I pick up adaptors of any type at a pep boys or advance auto parts store?

To the Torque App users who and have a tune (e.g. Unichip, Ecutek, etc) and use the app to log their vehicles: which parameters did you log and what did you look out for? How can you tell for sure, other than the way the car "feels", that the car is running right with your tune?

Search for mad_sb's posts as he has a good writeup. I'd recommend logging KR (Knock Retard), AFR (air fuel ratio), LTFT and STFT (long and short term fuel trims), as well as ignition advance.

Short version: KR should be 0, LTFT 0.0 is perfection but realistically I see +/- 5% on good tunes, etc. Do a search, mad_sb has a very thorough reviews on how to gauge the quality of your tune.

For general "health" logging, I also usually have coolant temp, oil temp, and IAT (intake air temp) up.

I'm on Ecutek with turbo, Torque logs correctly for the most part. Haven't had any issues yet.

So it seems like when you pull a freeze frame or fault log, the Vehicle Calibration ID is reported. Does anyone know if there's a way to access this if you don't have any DTCs?

If you have ecutek and a can log using that you are better off. Torque uses obd ii and not the ssm protocol (this car does use ssm right?) which means you get less resolution (data samples per given time) on it.

For anyone looking at buying a tablet, I am smitten with this new Asus MemoPad HD7. It is quad core and fast, has GPS basically does everything the 2012 Nexus 7 does but is thinner and lighter. Even has a decent 5mp camera. For $142 its got to be the best option now.

There's a listing in this thread of vehicle-specific PIDs you can manually enter. I use EcuTEK for a majority of my logging, so not sure which PID it is, but it can log knock retard.

Just pull the rubber mat out and add a plate to extend it out. I originally did this to hold my cell phone but the Nexus 7 fits perfectly in there too. Not recommended for the track because it will tip back under hard acceleration. I am planning to add a couple tabs at the top to prevent tip over.
