I'm probably going with the type-80. I was under the impression that they weren't getting released until the end of Sept.? I know that Evasive has them on their site but I was assuming that was pre-order type situation.

If someone can confirm that they are released, I'd like to hurry up and order one so I can get a damn muffler on my car before my header lol.

Quote from Tomei Powered "These 3 different design types will be made available at the same time, at the end of September. We’ve had an overwhelming influx of requests from around the world about the new 86/FRS/BRZ platform. So since it was impossible to make the one design to suit all, we’ve decided to make 3 versions!"

This exact exhaust has been around on virtually every other tuner application for years now. One of the best quality you can buy, even considering it's dirt cheap for titanium (the material cost alone makes me wonder how they do it). quality won't be an issue here. If you are worried about numbers, look up any single cat-back with a pass-through muffler design and there's your answer.

Example for those with EL headers (similar clean sound, don't mind the 350z)

Those with UEL headers can expect a louder version of this.

It's not a leap of faith about quality, its about sound level vs power. Like I said, I'll wait. No rush for me. I have other mods to tend to like final drive and maybe lighter fly wheel. Once the results are in for this series of exhausts, then I can make an educated decision on what suits my needs.

I'd imagine the 60S that you are planning for would be quite quiet, especially if the rest of the system was stock. At that point its basically a super lightweight aftermarket muffler lol

I'm in the same situation as you , decided to take the safety approach by going for 60S

I think the 80r comes with a removable silencer. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about that.

they are all preorder now, according to my suppiler, the reason for preorder is the first shipment only have 10 each for each versions and they will arrive at the end of September.

I'm on the pre-order list. My tuner called somebody (Tomei I'm assuming), and told me that they said 2 or 3 weeks, and that was a week and a half ago, but who knows.

I'd assume it does. From what I've seen on other platforms, it does come with a silencer. All in all, I think it's a pretty quiet system being that it's 80mm piping. I've seen cars with headers and full exhaust and it's certainly bearable.
