I wondered if that was actually you, or you took the avatar from somewhere online.

I watched every episode of that show, lol I always thought you did some of the best work on there.

I still don't understand this though..

Thank you for the compliments and yes, that is me. I didn't steal the pic..that would just be weird. haha.

I still talk to the guys and Ryan often, just needed more time with the family. I practically lived there for 8 years.

That Will I Am Delorean is pretty crazy...what can I say, everyone has a different style. That's Will's style. Sometimes you love what you build and sometimes you're building what someone else loves. Eccentric people with money never fail to surprise me. Gary Dourdan from CSI wanted a Moroccan rug pattern for his headliner in his 69 Charger project but he settled on a rasta verson of the confederate flag. Both are strange..almost as strange as him.

Hahaha I remember watching that episode, and thinking...thank God they didn't do that to such a beautiful Charger.

I am really going to miss that series, I watched it on a regular basis and I always loved the shop interaction, scripted or not, it was a fun show!

Hopefully I'll get to meet the WCC guys at SEMA 2013

So after I posted the above comment I got an email. He let me know that they do have a sandwich plate and banjo bolts to replace mine. He requested that I email him pictures of the oil cooler installed on my car and the receipt. Even though I only had my phone with me I was able to send back the pics and receipt in a matter of minutes. I thanked him for getting back to me and requested that they ship the parts before the holiday weekend as my car has been down for a week now. No reply. Now I'm sure that they won't ship them until Tuesday at the very earliest.

I'm stuck here as I either have to remove everything, return it, install a new kit, and hope for the best..OR, wait on Mishimoto to send replacement parts and pray that they don't leak. I've heard of many others that have no problems at all with the kit and I honestly feel that something MUST be defective after so many people have tried to fix it and couldn't. It's not rocket science, it's a really simple kit.

I'm really just fed up with the shitty customer service. You would think that after seeing multiple people comment stating that they def wouldn't buy this that they would make it right as fast as possible and turn this into a great customer service story. That didn't happen here.

Thanks man!! Last night I did some mods to the hardware for now and swapped out a few pieces which seemed to help. I took it for a drive and the oil temps were great and I had only a couple drop of oil down on the belly Pam when I got home. In my book that's still a couple drops too many but it's an improvement. The parts have been pulled and reinstalled countless times and even though Teflon tape should have no place in this setup I have it on every fitting right now to minimize leaks and hopefully prevent the banjos from backing out.

All I want them to do is swap the plates and banjo bolts as the hoses and cooler haven't leaked a drop. If they don't get this handled on Tuesday I will return the setup and never purchase a part from @Mishimoto again. We'll see how it plays out...

Even using the correct sealants and the proper torque FBM oil coolers can leak at the fittings and the cooler as well.

Damn sorry to hear that Chad. I too was looking at getting the Mishimoto oil cooler. I'll see how this plays out but I'm leaning elsewhere for the moment. Hopefully it'll get resolved.
