We always run 34F 33R cold with no rollover. Only on one autox I had to bump up front to 35 thats as high as I ever had to go. Some guys who drive the car like FWD need higher pressures up front from over driving.

So what's a good entry level pyrometer for the guy jot newvto cars but new to stuff like tire temp monitoring

... I know my IR temp gun is crap when it comes to tires, we don't want surface temp ...

Unless you're on a GC type setup that raises the shock mount point, yes?

With regards to rear LCA like Stance and GTspec that have a lower shock mounting point (or looking at it another way, a raised hub mounting point), what will differ (either advantage or disadvantage) in terms of suspension geometry? We all know they allow the car to be lower without sacrificing bump travel, but how will it affect things like motion ratio?

It only increases shock travel. It has no effect on geometry, afaik. I could be wrong; we haven't experimented with parts like that because we haven't needed them, due to our higher spring rates, and the fact that our car isn't hellaflush/stanced slammed.

We run the factory rake. We'll delve into that more as we start adding aero to the car.

Since you brought up pyrometers, are those IR meters no good for taking tire temps?

Damn. I'd be tempted to drive out to MD for an event like that. I think there so be events between the two people who started this thread so each coast gets the experience.

Since the rear is almost completely static and the front needs crash bolts what would be an ideal alignment for a fun neutral DD. AutoX a few times a year but dont want to change parts or settings during this.

No mods, plan spc bolts and yellow springs. Don't want crazy tire wear, would be happier with heavier steering.

Thanks
