There is no magic number! No magic. Just physics and compromises. 15 mm is "safe" but it isn't magic.
I just don't like seeing the word magic in suspension discussion. ![]() - Andy (posting from the airport) |

Were you able to avoid the tires from rolling over? what pressures were you running? I found that anything over 37-38 PSI hot on the RS3's grip feels compromised. at 40PSI hot, it felt really squirrely when I was at buttonwillow.

This... I've wondered this as well if using for example ground control top hats front and robi specs back plates would that have any benifit for those that are only going an inch to inch quarter to inch and half drop very tops. Where would those kinda of stroke adding products really benifit at what drop should a person even worry or consider such items like this to improve their suspension??

Whatever distance you drop is the amount of bump travel you lose. If you want to retain all factory bump travel, you need to retain factory ride height.

The front effectively has no toe change, while the rear gains about 1/16" in toe-in per side per inch dropped (and toes out about 1/16" per inch raised), if I remember the figures correctly. |

We run -3 based on pyrometer and wear patterns with 225 street tires. However, YMMV, depending on your setup. |

Our car runs about 35mm drop without any geometry correction, but we also run fairly high spring rates. (10k/12k, and 12k/15k at times) |

Pressures are best adjust via pyrometer readings. As @solidONE stated, RS3s tend to like higher pressures.
