I might go talk with someone there sometime this week. Since the drive isn't so bad.

Gotta go check out their lot and speak with a dealer who can.. make it happen!

People are saying that alot of dealership sales reps are saying 1-2 cars per month. Would this be true with the exception of a group buy ? or would the group buy be on a 'waiting list' of some sorts?

I don't think so if you pre-order it but it might be true. However, what Frank told me about Puente Hills Subaru is that it's one of the three in the nation(?) or State (?) that has direct link to Subaru Corporate. Meaning they get the pick on how many cars they get before the smaller dealerships. If I recall he said that it was the Flagship dealership or... something else (lots of information to try and remember that day).

I can give him a heads up again if you'd like me too.

Thinking about it again...shouldn't there be some sort of a cap on the amount of cars they are able to get...?

The lot is a lot bigger than the subaru dealer's I've went too. Lol. It could eaaaaaasily fit 20 more cars to their already 40 something vehicles there.

Hey Peeps,

So is the initial pricing of $24 - $27K MSRP or Dealer's Invoice? The way I read it is that these numbers are MSRP, meaning with the VIP program the dealer price could be ~2K less than that, and then we ALSO get an additional 2% less? Does that sound right or does my math and comprehension suck like it did in high school?

Uhm.... 24-27k is some fandangled numbers that came from a motortrend article. From what I recall (correct me if I'm wrong), but those numbers are usually MSRP. So yes, dealer invoice should be less (how much less, I don't know). Assuming lets say just 500 bucks off 24k for invoice, it'll be around 1k off giving it roughly 23k without tax and other licensing feels (I think the 2% off is based off the invoice price). However! We're currently awaiting news if the BRZ will be offered by SoA (which we indubitably hope it will... or well, I hope it does lol). At the same time, Scion will have pure pricing so the FR-S should be sold only at one price barring any random dealer added "options"

Right, that's what I thought - that those are the projected MSRP numbers. I thought the average markup from Dealer invoice to MSRP was more than $500, and more like $1k to maybe $2k (of course depending on the brand/model). If so, then we may be looking $23k-$25k and after an additional 2% less than that price we could have the higher-end BRZ at $27k out the door? I could definitely swing that!

*crossing my fingers*
