8k. It was perfectly smooth and no hot spots. Just wiped it down with brake clean along with the new pressure plate

No. The clutch works the same as the OEM one while shifting with no weird noises. The only time it feels different is when launching it in first gear.

Just tried it again. I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. If I try slowly engaging (over ~2 seconds) it's just horrible jerking. 2k, 1.5k, 2.5k, doesn't seem to matter. I think I need to find a friend who's used to something this bad and see how they can drive it.

I've run the ACS/AVO clutch plate & flywheel with full organic, carbon puck and currently the ceramic puck disc and they all made some decel noise somewhere between 3500 to 2500 rpm. I have an early 2012 build car, and even when they were stock I noticed I had way more shifter rattle/movement than driving @Benn0r's 2013 build car. But even with oem mounts the decel was noticable with this clutch combo, and since it's very similar to oem design I expect most clutches will be the same.

In follow up to this - I got the shifter assembly replaced under warranty. There is still a bit of a rattle but not as bad.

More importantly ACS built me a new sprung ceramic button disc with different springs that so far has been quiet under all conditions with their lightened flywheel. Super happy.

After speaking with Ptuning and based on their recommendation (no problem with 400whp and 300wtq), I am running the Exedy Stage 1 Organic. I really wanted an oem feel to it, so thats why i went with this.

I just put it in a few weeks back. Still breaking it in, but it feels great. I would be hard pressed to tell the difference from this and stock. Its quiet, and feels good. Engagement is a bit harsher, but barely, and does feel a bit stiffer than stock. Cant compare to anything else, since i have only driven this, but happy so far. Still breaking it in, so time will tell. I doubt the average person would even notice that its not a stock clutch.

Any rattles while idle and AC on?
