I'd rather have the bigger list of anniversary cars; you can always make more credits, but the cars will be a missed opportunity.
Honestly if that small detail annoys you..you need a blunt in your life asap ...i usually just say gt86 because 86 alone can be mistakin for the older hachirokus, but ofcourse technically your correct :happy0180:

The only badges on the Japanese 86 are a Toyota emblem on the front and rear and the 86 piston on both fenders.

It's unlikely to be delayed this time; it's pretty much a refinement of 5, or rather, what 5 would've been if they had finished it...

Larger install base means more sales.

You guys do realize that those extra cars will be purchasable DLC as well? Game stops exclusive just gives you that DLC for free.

Yes, and you could also make a million credits in game too and not have to pre-order. It's just a bonus for signing up early and guaranteeing money in their pocket. Without an incentive (because they have the ability to produce as many games as people want now), why would people pre-order?

Amazon preorders do not require cash up front. You aren't charged until the game ships. Lame stop and others are the ones asking for the money up front.

Yeah, but I'd rather pay now for a preorder rather than waiting four months, possibly forgetting about the preorder, and then wondering where $60 went.

I believe Amazon charges you the full price for the game and it ships as soon as it is in stock. If you have a Prime membership, I think you might be able to get it the same day it comes out. They use the information to gauge interest in a game, but as I'm sure you can read many places online, pre-ordering is no longer a necessity and many sites are actively discouraging it:

http://venturebeat.com/2013/02/15/wh...r-a-good-idea/

http://kotaku.com/5909105/stop-preor...o-games-please

I don't play many games anymore, and am really not too excited about this next generation of gaming, as (and this is with my rose-tinted shades on) I feel that nothing today can quite live up to the memories I have of my childhood gaming days. Extra skins and a few extra in-game credits can't replace that.

Although I was extremely please with Bioshock Infinite and Saints Row 3. I have been playing the GT series since number 1 and now its become more of a photography simulator, although the driving can be fun too .

I preorder from Amazon all of the time to save time/money on my end of having to run around looking for things. Not to mention the pre-order price guarantee. IF the price fluctuates you get the lowest price between the time you ordered and the time it ships.

Two books I pre-ordered just shipped today. I wasn't charged until today, and I've had the one book pre-ordered since last October. Amazon does it a bit differently and orders based on the number of people saying "I want this" with a pre-order. It's a first-in, first-out system. If you're credit card on the order bounces? The next person in line gets your number, and you're placed in the back of the line again. If they have left over stock? It goes back into the available stock for purchase by anyone. It's working better than "put down money first" pre-ordering for me.

If pre-ordering wasn't a necessity then why couldn't I pick up a copy of Last of Us the day it came out? It was sold out everywhere.

Most games today are produced in sufficient quantities that they should not be sold out unless it is a niche game or if you live in a rural area where there aren't a lot of game shops. At this point, needing to secure a copy is mostly a myth. After all, if the people who made the game can sell more, why wouldn't they produce enough copies to sell as many as they can?

Not that I think it doesn't have its place, because it certainly does, but this is how people end up upset when the final product does not live up to the hype or meet the expectation when it is finally released.

The only real reason to reserve a copy of a game is if it's a special edition or limited run version of the game. And sometimes even those stick around on shelves for months on end. Heck, I saw Halo 3 Legendary Editions on shelves for at least a year. Just depends on how many are made and how many people buy them. For standard versions of games, unless there's some kind of content bonus or other bonus, there's really no reason to reserve.
