these are not as dark as they seem on the picture:

i took the dip out of the holes in the 86 later:

Here is a video where i peel off the surrounding plastidip, kinda fun

But it was really hard getting the dip out of the inside of the emblems, i used a toothpick for that but scratched the paint a bit

FYI i did some pics after driving home, i cleaned all the emblems before putting that plastidip over them.
I busted all kinds of nutzz ... all kindzzzzzzzzzzzz

Might have helped if you used something soft and plastic to just agitate the plastidip. Your car looks amazing regardless, I give you all my kudos.

Update: Had the car checked by a body shop and just as I had suspected no other choice put to retouch and paint on the affected area. The guy said the discolored portion wont go away with rubbing coz the plasti dip somehow made the original body color fade....Oh well lesson learned....

Use painter's tape, easier to peel off and it's gentle on car paint. It's done a much better job at paint cut-off too.

I'll post a picture of my plasti-dipped, then color matched badges in a bit. I painted my factory rims to gunmetal, then painted my new "Toyota" badges the same color; looks good on Raven black.
