Actually I'm very curious to see how this car gets classed. I have a historical hatred for the SCCA (the national body) and it's classing, because they, for all real purposes sucked all the fun out of auto-xing my Honda Prelude. Since there was a big Prelude-hater on the classing committee, they put it in D-stock, where it was wildly uncompetitive. I stopped going to SCCA events because the classing was so ridiculous it wasn't worth my time.

I'm really hoping this car gets classed appropriately. The right class means the difference between staying at the bottom of the timesheet, and actually competing for fun against other drives.

I don't autox anymore. Once I went HPDE I didn't look back. If I get an FR-S I will absolutely be taking it to the track.

I have mostly Autocrossed my Subaru's and only raced 2 other Rwd cars prior, 350Z and BMW 135i which no lsd didn't help matters..

This should be a FUN car to cone dance !!

To learn how the car handles and reacts before going to the track at full speed, yes. To compete or care, hell no.

Yes i would love to get started with autocross, and possibly drifting with the frs. But i should just trade my car for a FR and learn with that.

Cars like the Nissan 240sx, Toyota Supra, and even the Frs have the engine in the front, but they are rear wheel drive. Its easier to call them FR instead of front engine rear wheel drive lol.

I agree with the comments about RRR being a hell hole. I've actively boycotted it. I won't even get into it here...

I might autox the car sometime, though I haven't autoxed in a couple years. If I get it by May 24th, it will see 5 straight days at Mid-Ohio, as I'll use it while I'm up there coaching. If I don't get it till June, then I'll just find the next excuse to hit the track with it when I'm not racing.

We are doing the ITR Expo at MO Aug 20/21 (Mon/Tues). If you are an instructor (sounds like you are) and are up for it I might get in touch with you later

Thanks for the offer. Is that an SCCA Club Race and PDX or something?
See the link in my sig if you want more detail, but yes I instruct. Almost exclusively private coaching though. Feel free to offer up my services to your guys if anyone is trying to get beyond what most DE instructors can provide.
