RCE TARMAC 0 All the way down in the front and still got some room in the rear. 280 springs all the way around

I had a VW GTI before this and everyone in the vdub world just cares about how low you are. I didnt want to do this with this car and ruin the handling so i went with the tarmac 0s... I recently took out to my local canyon roads and WOW! huge difference. Handling was greatly improved and the ride is still great. Awsome set of coilovers. Thank you RCE

Right now the caliper is locked on one of the wheels but I wasn't able to see which one.

If it turns out to be a bad caliper, I suppose new brake lines are on the list.
Are you saying that you had the calipers dangling from the brake lines and not supported in any other way?

Yes, I let the rears dangle down while installing. The lines weren't stretched nor did the calipers hit anything. I let them down carefully.

Love it guys. What are you guys ride heights set at (threads left, etc.)?

Still narrowing done the suspension I want to get on my car and these Tarmac 0's may be leading the race now.

Your pic isn't working

Funny you mention that. I had an R32 and was maxed out on H&R coils.

Handling was certainly not ruined and I was still able to drive the absolute piss out of it both down here in Miami and on the occasions I took it up north to rip up mountain twisties in NC/GA/TN. I hope to accomplish the same with this car while still eliminating a good portion of the stock wheel gap.

PM me for pricing to 33182 please.

Thanks for the kind words. IIRC, i have 0.5" inches of thread left in the front and 1.5" on the back.

Come out to the next meet if you want to see it/measure it in person

Currently 1.25" all the way around, but I am looking into wheels soon so I will be adjusting it again.

As soon as I get my 86 (should be this week, last stock bits are going back on the R32 as we speak), I'll definitely make it out! Hoping my work schedule allows me to get out on the nights the meets take place.

Did you also have to install the bushings or LCA's at your ride height? Part of me thinks I might want to go slightly lower.
@UnOvertime, same question - did you have to install the other components or did you just do the coils? I read your alignment specs were "okay" for daily driving.

SPC LCA's on the back to dial in camber from -1.8 one side, -2.4 the other. The slotted front allowed me to be at -.8 on the front. With the LCA's I'm at -1.4 on the back. Also, my drop was close to 1.25" all around too.

How low can you go down with Tarmac Zero from stock? Is it 1.5" or 2"?

I did not do anything for camber correction. I may just go with the OEM crash bolts up front when I get wheels in the next month or so. LCA's would have been what I went with for rear camber, but I feel they are overkill for my DD setup.

From what I can tell it is probably 1.5", maybe a tad lower, but not close to 2".
