Gas station attendant asked me if it was a Lexus LFA. You could just see the most confused look come across his face when he saw the Scion badges.

To be fair, this is when the FR-S had first came out, so no one really knew anything about these cars.

i can very slightly see how someone may see that, but if anything to me i think of a porsche a bit more than anything

some kid yelled at us when we were driving by so I turned around to see what his problem was.

Went to the Subaru dealership to pick up an oil filter (I have an FR-S but the Toyota dealer didn't have the right filter in stock). As I'm waiting at the parts counter a salesman comes up and asks how I like my FR-S, then proceeds to start talking about how next year the BRZ is going to have AWD and a hybrid diesel... This was in June! I tried explaining that it was an April Fools joke. He was like, "No, it was an official email from Subaru..." It was obvious he wasn't convinced. I bought my filter and walked out, shaking my head.

Yeah same here. But maybe for people who don't know cars that well...

To me, the closest resemblance is an Aston Martin or Maserati, but not as sexy.

My salesman told me they were coming out with a "black box" that would add 100hp.

I had researched the car a lot before buying so I knew what I was getting in to. I am a really big smart ass but the statement was so idiotic my brain shut down and I couldn't retort with anything clever.
