I just put the prototype flowmaster catback on tonight... It has a very nice deep tone at the low RPMs and a rich tone at the top end... Going to put a Borla UEL header and a perrin overpipe on next... Should make it sound even better... Give it that boxer rumble and eliminate the torque dip.

Please post clip! I actually like the sound this exhaust makes for the FRS, all the others sounds too low, don't know how to describe it... maybe I am just not a fan of the rumble...

this exhaust sounds unique in its own way, alot of the other cat-backs, have that purring type noise at idle, followed by popcorn snap crack pop upon hitting high rpms quickly, ..

this system has that 'dub dub dub dub" at a lower frequency, and when you get on it, its just sounds deep and mean. , nothing weak about it at all,
i recently dipped my tips on this system and it now sounds deeper, and cleaner, no metallic rasp even upon cold start.

if you are looking for a deep agressive catback , get this one, its only like $498.

i wouldnt go as far to say that it sounds like a camaro, or mustang at all.. but its definitely got a nice balance of muscle and foreign when it comes to noise.

I will say this in the kinds possible way, flow master is a redneck retarded exhaust system. All noise and no power gain. Buy a Cherry Bomb, and you will get more performance.

There are several flowmaster exhaust videos here in the forum.

Personally I think they all sounded like shit.

Idling or cruising does not sound too bad but during acceleration it sounds like something is loose and rattling around inside the muffler.

Maybe it was poor audio recordings?

Nope. There was a guy out here that put it on his GF's FR-S and from what he told me "it sounds like something is rattling around in there, but it's loud." I asked if it drones and he said it did. It sounded great at idle though.

sent from my locker... help!
