I think the issue is two fold, the fans in the kit are adequate for more temperate climates but can't move enough air when it's that hot. Also these cars don't have a lot of under hood venting, meaning there's nowhere for the hot air to go and this it heat soaks. Time for a vented hood lol
The heat messed up the ac in it so it's pretty bad

Yeah I'm exploring options right now. Spal makes some ones that look good, but they will only fit on the turbo side. I'd like to find out what the full blown ones pull for cfm

I had heat issues with the FBM kit even in 85f (29.4 C) degree weather. What has helped a LOT is the following:

Koyo radiator
25 row setrab oil cooler
Prova fender vents and modified the fenders to make them functional. (This bit helped a surprising amount and my AC actually works well now!)
Turbo blanket

At this point, even the slim fans that came with the kit are practically touching the exhaust. Part of the fan has actually melted, but so far so good.

Without cooling upgrades, I personally wouldn't even call the FBM kit (or probably any kit for that matter) entirely functional for a daily driver in the summer.

I haven't had any of the issues described here, living in florida. The rev works kit only replaces one of the fans though, leaves one stock one. I do notice sometimes the as seems like it doesn't get really cold until I start moving, but that's when initially starting up the car before its warm, so I doubt it's heat related.

So you have to cut the stock fan shroud apart? I tried that but it was just too tight to the turbo

well to let you know guys... before FBM radiators+fans. we been using stock rad and fans with cutting the cage on downpipe side but was daamn so tight and it was touching the downpipe. so if I keep it goin I could damage the fan motor sanse touching the downpipe heat... but I were damn fine without overheating even in this temps and go stop traffics the A/C was good blowing.
