Definitely install the pump first and make sure it is working prior to doing all the other stuff.

Every one has there own opinions on oil. I find factory filters are great filters and very hard to beat. Also I have been using Amsoil signature series on most the force induction applications I do and have been pleased. It is easy to get your hands on and works well. On older motors I will also use Rotella (not recommended on the newer motors do to the tighter clearances)

gloves, safety goggles, magnetic pickup

are you pulling the oil pan? If not, you may wanta magnet also for any metal shavings.

Another thing to consider, I would make sure you contact your tuner the day you are tuning it, and see if the local shop would have an opening if you needed to have access to some other parts (I found this out the hard way when the silicon couplers on my mustang kept blowing off because the IC piping wasn't flared at all when I ordered them that way).

Helped immensely, I just added it to an order of some other things I was getting ahead of time so I wasn't paying the shipping on a 2oz piece of molded plastic.
