Yeah and windows open on 20 yr old models too...might have to roll em but they work amirite?

You may want to replace them anyway. Unlike halogens, HID capsules lose output over time without failing completely. It happens slowly enough that you never really notice it, but I'd wager you'd see a night and day difference in replacing those capsules, as they're probably at half their original output by now (depending on how much you drive at night) and/or turning a funny shade of pink and green (notorious for older TLs)

I imagine that might be only a Limited or FRS10 thing? Not sure how that'd work on the other models.
It's a keyless entry thing I imagine. Once they key remote gets within proximity of the car, the cabin lights turn on.

I switched one bulb... but it turned out to be a dead ballast... now I have one new bulb and one old bulb... both are equally white and bright...

Why do you care so much so long as the light isn't in your eye? A 300$ retrofit kit may not be 100% to DOT standards but it won't be blinding anyone.

Damn straight they do.

Power windows have been in cars since 1940, as well as air conditioning since 1939, I'm not sure what your jest is but I find it ironic considering the complaints about the auto-scroll feature around here.

[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_window"]Power window - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

Edit: Automatic climate control was introduced in 1954 by Pontiac in the article above. Wait is your joke that rolling down windows is "uncivilized" or primitive similar to adjusting your own air vents?

Not until car manufactures start creating vehicles that have taillights intergrated into the headlights. This is actually part of the reason I manually turn them on...it not only looks cool, but it illuminates the taillights as well. I don't know how many times I see people driving when its raining....foggy....cloudy....snowy.....dusk and dawn where the vehicles are very hard to see from the back! I just make it a habit and make my vehicle easier to see in all conditions! I just can't believe this is not standard on any vehicles??? The "auto" function does not come on in most cases in my above stated conditions. Only when its quite dark still.

Uncivilized is a bit harsh. I'm just saying it is out dated. Not that that's always a bad thing at all but I do love me some (I said some) new tech from time to time.

Limited is definitely worth the difference in price. The best part is the start button and keyless entry. I think some owners might not be aware that you can also lock the car by waving your hand without removing the key.

If you don't care about the boomerang hid or the interior switches i don't think it's worth it. For me living in socal where heated seats and dual climate control (do people really use this?) are just wasted money, the only options i really considered were the DRLs (not the HIDs since it cost 30 dollars to install a plug and play kit or 150 for a retrofit), alcantra, and push start which are all possible to do via aftermarket.

Keep in mind the twins are an economy car; 3000 is almost 1/8th the car. Is the dual climate control, alcantra heated seats upgrade, HIDs and push start really worth 1/8th the car..
Depends where you live. There are people picking up Limited BRZ's for $26K. There was not even close to a $3k difference between the Premium and Limited when I was buying. For me it was about $1200 difference..

You guys are lucky in the North Pole =p. Yeah here in socal you'd be lucky to find a brz below MSRP.

I think the real point to be made is that the difference in price is worth it... but not everyone needs/wants the extras. nothing to do with which one everyone should buy...

You're welcome everybody for ending this thread
