My FiReStorm was delivered with Bridgestone Turanza EL400's. Did anyone else's come with these?

Yes. Mine came with the Turanza's. I am perfectly happy with the tires. The tires look good and perform fine for me, I don't track my car.

I had Turanza's and personally I feel their garbage. Rumor has it, the version of tire brand/spec a customer gets is based on their area of climate.

Mine also came with them. They are ok for everyday driving really slick in the rain but fun. Not good for auto cross

Replace them with proper summer tires and be amazed.

What tires are better? I'll probably get new ones after the winter. Planning on getting -- excuse the spelling -- hakkapulitas. I don't know very much about tires but the hakkapulitas seem to be highly regarded.

Had the turanzas on mine, fucking garbage. Felt unsafe on spirited driving and braking.
They were removed before the first tank of gas was up. Felt guilty selling them on cl, but they fetched almost enough to pay for the new tires (which were a deal). [IMG] [/IMG]

Remember, people bought this car for numerous reasons, not everyone wants tight cornering grip at every corner. We are entering an era where cars have too much grip.

Those ratings are good for an average tire like this, that tire isn't meant for grip. The ratings are for an average street tire, of course its going to have bad snow traction, as do most all seasons tires. Don't call something garbage that doesn't suit YOUR needs but can suit someone elses. IE someone who commutes?
