Bridgestone Turanza EL400 Tires on my new FR-S
Everything I've read about this car was based on it having Michelin Primacy tires and I get my car today and it has Bridgestones. Anybody else? Should I be concerned, or was this something Scion/Toyota did to control tail happiness of the car (which I was looking forward to). I'm confused.

Technically, they are suppose to come with the Primacy tires according to the website and specs. For the winter months they are shipping them with Bridgestone All-Seasons which isn't a bad thing if you're in consistently cold or snowy climates considering you aren't suppose to run the Primacy's in less than 45 degrees.

I'm curious if you paid extra for them or not. It should specify tires on your window sticker/receipt.

If it's tail-happiness you want, the Bridgestones will actually work better for you. They are an all-season (read as: not as grippy), whereas the Michelin Primacy's are summer touring tires.

you can get away with runnin' the car through the winter, and the changeover allows scion to continue to sell the car through the "nasty" winter period. |

Those Bridgestones got some terrible ratings on Tire Rack.

Having driven on the Turanza's I will not recommend these tires to anyone.
Horrible wet traction. Had one day here in chicago when we had a moment of snow flurries...very scary. |
