The battery clamp is about the same price delivered here in NZ and like you, I like dealing with my local supplier. If we don't support them they'll go out of business so I try and buy from them whenever I can.

He was @caldine on here but I think they got banned for not being a registered vendor.

The clamp won't fit the OEM batteries here in NZ so won't get one until I need to replace the battery.

I think the "IO" in Audio lights up blue, but I can't confirm this. Thought I saw it somewhere, maybe on TC pictures. It is painted Silver Ignition. Matches the trunk carpet The regular unit is black and priced at $1199. (Pictured below)



Edit: I wonder if it would sound better because it faces the driver, instead of being on the drivers side like the BRZ one (I assume the BRZ one is JDM)

BRZ is made by Kicker and took forever to be released. Kinda weird it's on the driver's side... I'm thinking I'm going to go with the OEM Audio+ paint-matched, personally, because they've already confirmed it matches up to the Pioneer head unit I want.

I am not a sound system guy. I wanted a little bit more than the stock system. I may switch as I didn't realize there was a specific one for our car. Sometimes I order without researching. Ugh. But it's really not that big a deal for me. I barely wanted to out anything in but a friend recommended it and glad I have it

I hear ya. I purchased replacement door speakers for about $100 and had them installed. Car sounds MUCH better over stock even with stock head unit. Anyways, I got MB Quart components because overall reviews show them as good quality for the price. I had them on my 2011 WRX and loved them. You'll get a lot better sound just from upgrading the speakers, but the head unit is pretty much the main culprit.
