I love how this thread may have just made another "because racecar" community quote. "Because Visconti Tuned" as a total excuse for any fuck up from here on out.

Well after playing catchup on this thread... Must say that Visconti is going to change their name to "Disconti-nued" with the rep they're making for themselves. It is amazing how many bad experiences people have had with the company, and amazing how the company continues having such bad customer service! At least the word is out there and people can avoid similar situations...

Still amazed at the response that Visconti has for all this. How have they been in business this long with that attitude towards customers/people? They do realize that their customers are what kept them in business right?!

Some of the comments on here just seem to be adding fuel to the fire.........oops!

And now we know what flex fuel is all about. The kit is so flexible the fuel comes out all over the place (allegedly).

I'm sure Visconti will move on to a new platform. Like Focus/Fiesta STs or even the Genesis Coupe world. "When there is no one to follow you have no choice but to set a flame! World's first Visconti Doomed ST!"

Maybe he'll start tuning fire trucks. At least the fire can be put out promptly.

It sucks what happened to the OP, but a fuel leak is usually caused by installation error first, a broken product second, and a tuner... almost never. Unless, of course, some of you believe John/Perrin/Tony all have a magical button in the ECUTek software to over-pressure the fuel lines/seals past their structural limit. I'm surprised he didn't see "Danger to Manifold" first.

I hope the cause is found without the OP getting screwed over by insurance or whatever.
I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure the tuner can ivermectin pressurize the di system if they are running into 100 duty cycle they can raise the di fuel pressure... @moto-mike to confirm.

Sorry for your loss OP. I am a big believer in Karma, and you've got some major turn around headed your way. Maybe in the form of insurance money, who knows at this point.

I digress, any of you guys who were originally thinking FI have any second thoughts because of this? I know it's rare, but the thought of my 86 melting to the ground has me sick to my stomache. I mean, idk what the hell I would do if it burned down. It's gonna take me about 12-18 months to save up the $7,500-$8,000 I need to boost, imagine watching it melt before your eyes? Idk how it works with insurance in terms of them reimbursing the turbo kit, all the extra components that coincide with that etc. Idk, I was dead set on FI and now I'm shaking in my boots like a little bitch. I guess there is always a huge risk going FI, but melting the car to the ground wasn't on my "worst case scenario" list..
